This is Matt Delang, aka "The Perfect Storm" or "The Storm" for short. Matt rolled out with Cole and E-Stone to go shoot one day in a pair of rubber fishing boots, like he was off the deck of a trawler, and E-Stone coined the name, which stuck.
Jake Devine and Brendon Drury enroute to scope a massive gap above Donner Lake in Truckee. It got dark on us, and thanks to awesome 3G coverage, we were able to download flashlight apps on our phones and ride a bunch of POW back to the car via Ipones and Droids.

Andrew Brewer, Tahoe POW, and Donner Pass is a winning combo.

Holiday POW in in Tahoe equals MAJOR traffic problems. The roads get real wild when you mix angry locals with blacked out season passes and Bay Area gapers who have NO CLUE about how to drive in the snow.

Tahoe has so much terrain to explore. I spent a day shooting with K.C. Deane and Scott Nikkel in Blackwood in December and it was my first day of the winter sledding from dusk till dawn. I love that shit.

Windblown snow near Squaw Valley, CA.

This photo goes out to Erik Balkin #guttermeats

I had never been to South Lake Tahoe in the winter and Nick Pooch and Martin Rubio took Jake Devine, MFM, Brewer, Jmills, and myself to a really dope zone they called mini japan

MFM, Donner Pass.

SLC

Andrew Hardingham behind the wheel of a vehicle i've wanted for years. The Mitsubishi Delica.

Polarizing filters are pretty rad.

Well, obviously......

The Northface Masters of Snowboarding came to Snowbird Resort along with a s***tload of friends, both new and old. I covered it for Snowboarder Magazine, partied a bit, met some guys ive looked up since age 11, and watched the level of Big Mountain Snowboard Contests rise to new heights. COVERAGE HERE.

SLC was hurting for snow in Jan for a little bit so, we left.

TSA always leaves these notes in my bag wishing me luck in my travels.

Chicago was rad, there was so much industrial sprawl that those zones really paid off. We really scored in the industrial zones and some of the spots we hit were over 100 years old. Check the blogs from the trip @ Snowboard Mag's website

When I hit the road with the Technine x FODT crew, the first thing we usually do is head into the worst part of town looking for spots. That might sound like a bad idea but when theres four feet of snow on the ground and its ten below zero or worse, most people look at us like we are the dangerous ones. A few sketchy characters always emerge here or there, but they are usually pretty stoked once they see what we're all about because its usually the last thing they expect.

Lucas Magoon is back in full force. I love shooting with these dudes and moments like these, when the riders and filmers see their shots for the first time are always priceless. It's usually less than a minute of props, high fives, wows, ooohs, and awwws, and then guess, what, back on the grind. Thats why I love these shots because film trips are crazy, and these small moments are when the crew exeriences the highest highs of the trip. Its unlikely that Lucas will see the video shot he was looking at in this photo untill next fall during a movie premier on a big screen

Gary Tyler McLeod from Snowboarder Magazine met up with us for a second to work on his web series "Crewzin" The Crewzin series takes you behind the scenes with the top snowboard crews in the middle of road trips.

Andrew Brewer takes a hard hit at 7.30 in the morning on a Saturday and was luckily unhurt........a properly built landing could save you a trip to the hospital.

Snowboarder Magazine is the shit.

Ali Goulet has been killing it since forever and still handles business in and around SLC. We've ridden a few times this winter and its been fun every time i run into him on the hill.
